Hub Disassembly Guide

HOW TO DISASSEMBLE AN AMBROSIO ZENITH FREEHUB (STEP 1-9)
 
STEP 1Place 17mm wrench on the stop nut of cassette body side and insert the 5mm allen key into hollow axle of none-drive side.
 
STEP 2Move the position of 17mm wrench and place on the alloy end cap of non-cassette side and turn in an anti-clockwise direction to loosen the alloy end cap.
 
STEP 3Take off alloy side cap and stop nut.
 
STEP 4Take off cassette body, black water resistance seal and spacer from cassette side.
 
STEP 5Use a slightly open vice with a rag in between for protection. Rest the flange of the hub on the remaining bearing side.
 
STEP 6Use a mallet tap on the right side of the axle and expel the left sealed bearing from the hub shell.
 
STEP 7Separate the sealed bearing from the axle.
 
STEP 8Thread back the left side of the axle into the left side of hub shell.
 
STEP 9Using a mallet tap on the right side of the axle and expel the right sealed bearing from the hub shell. Then, as in STEP 7,separate the sealed bearing from the axle.
